I was going to be good.
This was only a kiss.
But then she had to go and ruin it.

Booth Pena definitely didn’t make the smartest of decisions when he was a teenager.
At eighteen, he knocked a girl up and signed up for the military all in the same day—signing his life away in more ways than one. Fast forward six weeks and he’s in boot camp learning that he’s going to be a father while also learning that not only is he going to be deployed, but it’s going to stay that way for a year.
There weren’t a lot of things that the baby’s mother and he saw eye to eye on after that. He honestly wasn’t sure why he even slept with her in the first place.
Okay, that last part is a lie. He knows exactly why he slept with her. Because the real woman he’s in love with, her twin sister, Dillan, won’t give him the time of day.
Five years later, and he still wants her.
Now he’s home for good, being the best father and police officer that he can be, and still he’s not good enough.
A night of seduction and pleasure in exchange for information...
Caro never should have consented to such a foolish agreement. Now she’s on the run for her life with the very being who put her at risk.
Sethios saw Caro as a challenge to be conquered. Something new to play with, to pass the time. But their mutual arrangement created a consequence neither of them anticipated.
For the seer knows all. She predicts the future. And her newest prophecy changes everything.
How far will Caro and Sethios go to protect their destiny and the fate of their unborn child?
Sometimes love requires the ultimate sacrifice...
Author Note: Blood Bonds is a prequel to the Immortal Curse series. There are significant series related spoilers in this novel, therefore it is listed as book 5. However, it still provides a unique introduction to the world and could technically be read first. It would just provide early answers to some of the burning questions raised in books 1-4.

-- Frenemies make the best lovers --
Ashe and Ford were frenemies. They grew up together, did a lot of messed up things together, broke bones together, had each other's backs, and were at each other's necks all their lives. They were antagonistic towards each other, but if one of them needed the other, they were there... no matter what. So what happens when all of that built up tension that they'd denied for so long finally explodes? Well, you get the awesomeness that Lani Lynn Vale created! When Ashe and Ford got together, it was nothing like I expected and yet it was everything I wanted. From their banter to the ease of their relationship because they understood each other in a way you can only get someone when you've known them forever, I fell in love with these two so easily. There's just something about the way this author writes that really speaks to me. It's like she really gets me and my humor and provides me with the elements necessary for every read to be an amazing one. With the way I gobbled up this story, and then wished there was more to read, I couldn't help but give it all the stars!
