MY REVIEW

I couldn’t wait to dig into the continuation of Tiger’s story. Have you met this man? He’s everything! He’s intelligent, quick-witted, funny, intense, intimidating, successful, rich, handsome, sexy as hell, and the list goes on. I’m a sucker for this man.

In the conclusion to the White Lies duet, Nick is trying to:
✼ find the link between his father and Faith’s mother,
✼ figure out why the winery is on anyone’s radar,
✼ distinguish between friend and foe,
✼ keep his secrets close to his chest until he knows Faith is safe, and
✼ keep Faith at his side despite all that he’s hiding.

“I’m in this with you until the end.” - Nick

Amidst all of that, he and Faith are getting closer and the love they have for one another is growing deeper. The tone of their relationship was different in this book but no less beautiful. Between their conversations, interactions, and times in bed, I found a new intimacy to what they shared and the author captured it eloquently.

“I need this woman. I need her like I need my next breath.” - Nick

“I want her to be right here, with me, willingly, emotionally exposed.” - Nick

Going into this, I really didn’t think I could adore Nick more than I already did. Here was this guy who went after a woman, seeking answers, maybe even seeking some justice for his father’s death. He couldn’t even stand his father so his goals spoke to just how honorable a man Nick was. He meets this woman, Faith, and soon after he’s left captivated and consumed by her. No way would his heart tie itself to a killer. Gosh, the depths this man was willing to go to in order to still find his answers while protecting his woman were immense. Honestly, this entire review could be a love letter to Nick because in my opinion, Faith was a bit character. I know she played a huge role in this story, but Nick stole the spotlight. Kudos to LRJ for giving me another alpha male heartthrob to love!
