Full Package by Lauren Blakely
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Standalone - Big Rock #4
Release: January 9, 2017
Length: 280 pages

I’ve been told I have quite a gift.

Hey, I don’t just mean in my pants. I’ve got a big brain too, and a huge heart of gold. And I like to use all my gifts to the fullest, the package included. Life is smooth sailing....

Until I find myself stuck between a rock and a sexy roommate, which makes for one very hard… place.

Because scoring an apartment in this city is harder than finding true love. So even if I have to shack up with my buddy’s smoking hot and incredibly amazing little sister, a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do.

I can resist Josie. I’m disciplined, I’m focused, and I keep my hands to myself, even in the mere five-hundred square feet we share. Until the one night, she insists on sliding under the covers with me. It’ll help her sleep after what happened that day, she says.

Surprise—neither one of us sleeps.

And even though we agree to return to roomies-without-benefits, I quickly realise I want more than someone to split the utilities with. Now all I want is to spend every night—and every day—with my gorgeous roommate.

Did I mention she’s also one of my best friends? That she’s brilliant, beautiful and a total firecracker? Guess that makes her the full package too.

What’s a man stuck in a hard place to do?

MY REVIEW

4 "They're both gifts" stars!!

Oh Chase. I loved you so much by the end of the first page of this book. You were just so gosh darned sweet!

Chase was an ER doctor. Nuff said!! No I'm kidding, there's more. He was a thoughtful and observant person, an amazing brother, and an incredibly awesome friend. His love for Josie virtually leaped off the pages and he was completely swoon-worthy. I loved their banter and their chemistry. I loved how in sync they were with each other. I even loved that this story lacked any real conflict except for what the characters created within themselves.

I'd like to add that Lauren Blakely found a really creative way of incorporating parts of Josie's POV that I really appreciated. It was witty and completely fit the character. I also enjoyed getting to see all of my favorite characters again (those from her previous books), even if they've been relegated to side character status.

I can't quite put my finger on why this wasn't a 5-star read for me because I really did love this story. I think it could be because I wasn't as in love with it as I was with her previous ones. However, I'll definitely be one-clicking the next two books, Joy Stick and The Hot One when they come out and I hope to see more of Chase and Josie in them.

Genre: Contemporary Romance
POV: Male - 1st person
