July 2021 Bookish Recap

August 01, 2021

We are one month away from the end of summer (yeah I'm sad about it too 😭😭😭) and it is unlike any summer I've ever experienced. Covid-19 has ruined all of the fun, huh? At least we're still able to read whatever we want and that's been my goal this year. I'm trying to knock out my tbr lists and while I've been sticking to it, these lists don't seem to be going anywhere! 😓😬

For the month of July, I didn't read a ton of books, but I did get some quality reading in. At least in my opinion. Without further ado, here's what July was like for me:

The Best Books of July

The other books I read were:
* Charge to my Line by Lani Lynn Vale - 4 stars
* Imperfect by Ari Reavis - 4 stars
* Counter to my Intelligence by Lani Lynn Vale - 4 stars

* Wrong Text, Right Love by Claudia Burgoa - 4 stars
* Perfectly Adequate by Jewel E. Ann - 4 stars

* The Prince by Jennifer L. Armentrout - 3 stars

Added to my TBR

I did not do a great job of not adding to my tbr this month. Not only did I buy a bunch of books I have yet to read, I put too many on my to-read lists. Oops!

See what I'm saying? I did soooo bad this month! 😂🤣

My Reading Stats

I read a total of 4036 pages and 13 books. Not great, but not bad. Most of these came from my TBR, although I did find some amazing ARCs as well.

What Else?

I've got nothing. Aside from being fully vaccinated (YAY), my life hasn't seen much change. I work, I read, I spend time with my daughters, I cook, I clean, I eat, I sleep... and repeat. I hope you all have an amazing reading month in August. I'm looking forward to so many books, especially after the book haul I splurged on this month, and I'm looking forward to talking about books in the weeks to come.

Thanks for sticking around until the end :D I'm still looking for book recs, so if you have one you think I'll love, please let me know. I'm looking for extremely sexy Fantasy or Paranormal. And when I say sexy, I do mean descriptive to explicit scenes please. I'm grown and I don't need my sex to be watered down.

What are you looking forward to for August? I hope it's as incredible as we deserve it to be!

Talk soon,

xo, Natalie

  2. Quality over quantity is a great goal. Sorry this summer hasn't been as good for you. I feel like this summer is better than last summer for me.

    1. It hasn't been terrible and it has been better than last year. But it's Covid time and I'm just over it :)
I completely agree about quality over quantity. And I'll continue to look for quality as I go!
