The Kings of Mayhem by Penny Dee
I’ve loved her since we were five years old.
We grew up side by side.
Two kids tied together by the Kings of Mayhem Motorcycle Club.
But I broke us.
I broke her.
So, she fled.
Now she’s back after twelve long years.
Once, her leaving almost destroyed me.
Now, her coming back threatens to finish the job.

They took someone from me.
And I’m going to make them pay.
In blood.
But before I can do that, I have to make sure my girl is safe.
And I will do whatever I have to, even break my own heart, to make sure she survives.
Because she is my queen.
My everything.

After a night of insane sex, the beautiful blue-eyed brunette gave me the slip. And even with all the women on offer afterwards, I can’t get her off my mind. So when she turns up at the Kings of Mayhem MC compound I’m quick to give her a second night of crazy orgasms. But this time, I’m not ready to let her go.
There’s just one problem— she says she’s not interested.
But if she thinks she’s going to give me the slip again, then she’s got another thing coming. I know she is keeping a secret from me but I don’t care what it is. I want her and I’m going to make her mine.

Kings of Mayhem, Brothers in Arms, and Biker Baby are books 1–3 in the Kings of Mayhem MC series. For mature readers only.

-- My Two Cents --

I'm telling you right now... Penny Dee is now a one-click author for me! I'm in love with the MC world she's created, the characters she's blessed me with, and I'm excited to get my hands on all the books!

Kings of Mayhem - 4.25 stars

Cade and Indy knew and loved each other ever since they were five years old. Every milestone, every heartache... they experienced it together. When they hit eighteen, all Indy wanted was to get away. Away from their podunk town, away from the MC. And Cade... all he wanted was to be with Indy. So if she wanted to go, he was willing to leave the only life he knew to be with her. When Cade is betrayed, which in turn made him betray Indy, nothing would be the same again. She leaves and it's twelve years before they see each other again.

When Indy's father dies, she comes home and she thinks it will be a quick in and out thing for her. What she didn't count on was how being home would bring back so many memories, so many memories with her best friend, her everything, and the family she left behind. After a lot of work on Cade's part, to not only make up for a mistake that I didn't really think he needed to atone for, but to prove to Indy that he could be the man she needed him to be, tragedy strikes really close to home and everyone is left devastated.

After one incredibly tragic cliffhanger, I was beyond grateful that I had the next book set to read. I think we're about through with the flashbacks. I liked seeing who Indy and Cade were as kids and as teens. I liked seeing how their connection saw them through some really traumatic times. I'm hoping to see more of their adult love in the next book and I'm pretty sure this author delivers.

Brothers in Arms - 4.5 stars

Picking up right where Kings of Mayhem left off, the Kings are being targeted. Members of the club are being picked off one by one and no one is safe. The only thing that's getting Cade through the pain of all he's lost is the love he shares with Indy. She's his rock, but he's terrified of losing her too. There wasn't a flashback to be found, but the author gave us one hell of a horrifying tale. I didn't know who would be next to fall victim to the killer that was out for King blood. And why were they being hunted? This book had a darkness to it and honestly, the truth behind everything that was happening was downright twisted, but underneath it all, there was so much love. Cade and Indy bled for their love and the side characters, their friends and families, only made this story that much sweeter. So if you like a little anguish with your romance, you'll thoroughly enjoy this one!

Biker Baby - 3.5 stars

After the horror show of the last two books (I mean the crimes committed, not the actual story), this one was a welcome break. Caleb was an absolute sweetheart and such a dreamy hero, despite being a rough and tough member of a motorcycle club. He was described as gorgeous and charming and the author created him with such a big heart.

It all started with a one night stand. Caleb couldn't seem to forget the woman who completely rocked his world, but she left before he could even learn her name. When Honey realizes she's pregnant and that the timing of said pregnancy coincides with her one night stand with Caleb, she eventually realizes (after the tireless convincing of her best friend) that she needs to let him know. I wasn't a fan of how she gave him the runaround, or the push and pull game she kept playing, but it was Caleb who stole the show. He more than made up for Honey's foolishness. Aside from Caleb's stalker who did some extremely questionable things and some cattiness from the club groupies, this was a really sweet read. It was really hard to get past Honey's hurtful and insensitive ways, but... Caleb was so worth it.
