Two weeks.
No strings.

With Adam Callaway I thought I'd found the perfect fling. He was great in bed and only in town for a few hot nights.

There was no way I could have known Adam wouldn't be satisfied with just sex. My craving for his body made me careless. I broke my rules. I let him in. I never thought two weeks could change everything. All I wanted was an escape, what I got was so much more.

Something I couldn't live without once I had it.

MY REVIEW

Elizabeth Filler lived life on her own terms… at least that’s what she wants everyone to think. Burned by those who she should have been able to trust the most, she had walls of steel up against the world. No one in meant she would never feel pain again. That is until she meets Adam Callaway, whose irresistible charm and generous heart melted her walls with little effort. He’s in town for two weeks and they agree to a mutually satisfying sexual relationship with no strings. A lot can happen in two weeks ;)

“And how do you feel about me?” He looked me directly in the eye and spoke with absolute conviction. “Like I finally found someone who understands me.”

There was so much to like about this tale. I especially liked how comfortable and aware she was with her sexuality. It’s not something I see a lot of, whether in fiction or in real life, and I think more women should have the same appreciation. She owned her desire, her pleasure, her needs, and didn’t hesitate to go after what she wanted, at least physically. Adam was a man after my own heart and Elizabeth was a sympathetic character. Adam was a man after my own heart and Elizabeth was a sympathetic character. Although Elizabeth’s reticence towards Adam was frustrating to say the least, I tried extremely hard to be understand it considering what she suffered. However, I couldn’t get enough of Adam. He was absolutely wonderful. As I said, there was much to like about this tale, from their instant chemistry to their quick and undeniably connection. It may not have been exactly love at first sight, but both characters seemed to know where this was leading. I loved their bond, their banter, their intimacy, and their sexy times.

Being with Adam didn’t just make me happy - it made me feel accepted.

I wanted to give this story five stars so badly, but I couldn’t. Why? I desperately needed Adam’s perspective. Because of Elizabeth’s reluctance to make herself vulnerable or to leave her heart open, I needed him to give me the emotions necessary to make this the love story I was looking for. It’s not to say that the author didn’t make his feelings known, because this author sure can write, but I’m greedy and needed more. If you love a truly hot and steamy romance with characters who are incredibly easy to like and root for, then this book should definitely be on your one-click list!
