Ten Books From My Bookshelves I've Yet To Read

November 24, 2020

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another TTT! This meme is hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's theme is a Thanksgiving/I’m Thankful for… Freebie. In Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving in October, so while my American counterparts will be gifting us with their 'thankful lists', I'm going to concentrate on the books that stare me in the face, day after day, and I still haven't picked them up.
some books on my bookshelves
Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi - there are a ton of mixed reviews for this book, but I was gifted a copy and I promised myself that despite the hype (positive or negative), I would try to approach it with an open mind.

Fury by Laurann Dohner - I can't believe I still haven't read this author. This is the first book in her New Species series and I can't wait to crack it open.

The Fall by Kate Stewart - I haven't read this author before, but I've heard amazing things and I'm hoping to become a huge fan.

Rebel by Callie Hart - this is one of my favorite authors and I've made it my mission to have everything she's written. I don't know why I still haven't read her Dead Man's Ink series.

Attachments by Rainbow Rowell - I already know... I'm probably one of the last people to not read this author. I've had this book waiting for me for quite some time and I'm hoping to get to it soon.

Sugar Daddy by Sawyer Bennett - when I heard that this author's Sugar Bowl series was a 'must-read' series, I knew I had to get it.

Feral Sins by Suzanne Wright - when I became a fan of paranormal romance, this was one of the author's recommended to me most. I'm hoping I love her work just as much as expected.

Fatal Affair by Marie Force - I freaking love this author's writing and everything I've read from her Fatal series has been fantastic. But I'm one of those people who reads series all out of order. Not always, but in this case, most definitely. So I have the first book so I can get to know the characters from the start.

Midnight Lily by Mia Sheridan - it's been awhile since I've read this author, but I've got quite a few of her books on my shelves. From what I've read from her, her books are emotional, evocative stories and I'm hoping this one is no different.

The Beast by J.R. Ward - I read all of the books up until this one. And it's funny, because I have this and the following books and even some of the legacy ones and still haven't read them. I might have to do a re-read of the series before I pick this one up. I loved this series!!

The year is almost done and my reading wasn't up to my usual standards. It kinda sucks. I'm crossing my fingers that I get to at least one of these books before the end of December and that 2021 is a better reading year for me (and for those of you in the same boat).

If you've got a TTT, leave a link to it below so I can check out your post too. Happy reading!

MY LAST TEN 5-STAR READS

November 17, 2020

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another TTT! This meme is hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's theme is Characters I’d Name a Pet After. I'm probably in the minority, but I'm not a 'pet' kind of girl and so this theme is not something I can even begin to try. I love animals, but I'm allergic to just about everything but a goldfish, so... I decided to do my own post this week and since I've been in the worst book funk in all my years of reading, I thought I'd reflect on the books that gave me good vibes this year to give myself a good pickmeup.

TEN BOOK TITLES THAT WOULD MAKE GREAT SONG TITLES

November 10, 2020

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another TTT! This meme is hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's theme is one created by one of my favorite bloggers, Deanna @ A Novel Glimpse, and it's 'Book Titles That Would Make Great Song Titles'. I love this week's theme. I'm a huge music lover and actually think along these lines whenever I find a book with a great title or with great quotes. I've got a ton for this list but I'll give you the first ten that I thought of.

#TopTenTuesday 🕷️🎃 Halloween Freebie 🎃🕷️

October 27, 2020

halloween costumes
Happy Tuesday and welcome to another TTT! This meme is hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl and this week's theme is a Halloween Freebie. I've never participated in a freebie event before and wasn't sure exactly what to do. But I've finally finished putting my blog back together and I'm feeling good so I thought I'd share the Halloween costumes that made me feel good throughout the years. Too bad I don't have pictures of myself in these costumes to share 😞. Now that would have been an awesome post!

#TopTenTuesday 🍁 Book Covers with Fall Colors/Vibes 🍁

October 06, 2020

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another TTT! This meme is hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl and this week's theme explores 'Book Covers with Fall Colors/Vibes'. My favorite season happens to be autumn so I enjoy any excuse to do something to show my love🍁. I chose to highlight books on my to-read list and I went a little over ten, but once I started, I had to force myself to stop.

Ten Bookish Quotes

September 29, 2020

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another TTT! This meme is hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl and this week's theme explores “Favorite Book Quotes”. Like Jana, I post a lot of quotes on my blog already, especially in my reviews, so I thought I'd focus more on the bookish quotes that are hanging up on my walls.

Some of the Books On My Fall 2020 TBR

September 22, 2020

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another TTT! This meme is hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl and this week's theme explores our Fall/Spring 2020 TBRs. I decided that for this fall, I'd be focusing once again on getting through books already on my to-read list and for today's post, I chose to tackle several books from a few of my lists. And yes, I have many to-read lists because my habit of adding books is a bit lot out of control. Don't even get me started on the heaps of books on my physical bookshelves that I haven't read yet 🙈

Ten Books For My Younger Self

September 08, 2020

Hello and welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday, which is hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl! Be sure to check out her page if you want to join in. Every week is a new challenge and I love it! This week's topic is 'Books for my younger self', which could be books you wish you had read as a child, books younger you could have really learned something from, books that meshed with your hobbies/interests, books that could have helped you go through events/changes in your life, etc. This list was so much fun to create and I can't wait to see what everyone has come up with.

So let's start this thing...

Books that Make Me Hungry

September 01, 2020

Welcome to another TTT, hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl! This week's topic covers books that have food items on the cover, foods in the title, are about foodies or have food as a main plot point. I couldn't come up with 10 books I've actually read like this and that actually made me think of food, so these are the ones that gave me greedy urges or a sweet tooth.

The Real Thing by Melissa Foster
Kiss My Cupcake by Helena Hunting
Beard Science by Penny Reid
Peace, Love & Macarons by Jessica Gadziala
Sweet Addiction by J. Daniels
Hyde & Seek by Layla Frost

What books would you keep? If you've got a TTT, leave a link to it below so I can check out your post too!
Happy Reading xo

The First 10 Books On My Goodreads TBR

August 25, 2020

Welcome to another TTT, hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl! This week's topic: questions you would ask your favorite authors (Living or dead. You can post 10 questions for one author, one question each for 10 different authors, or anything else!). I didn't really like this topic. I know, I'm a spoil sport, but I didn't want to come up with questions. The topic didn't inspire me or my creativity. So I decided to do a list that could actually help me and my reading goals. I took a look at the first books on my TBR and I'm determined to either read at least one of them in the next week OR delete one. Anything to cut down just one of my to-read lists.

The 10 Books That Should Be Adapted Into Netflix Shows/Movies

August 18, 2020

Welcome to another TTT, hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl! This weeks topic was submitted by Nushu @ Not A Prima Donna Girl and I had a hard time coming up with only 10. I'm a binge-watcher and a lot of what I've viewed on Netflix are shows and movies based on books, so this was a fun topic to do.

Ten Books I Loved But Never Reviewed

August 11, 2020

Welcome to another TTT, hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl! This week's topic challenged us to find 10 books that we've read, but haven't reviewed. I thought this topic would be a lot harder than it was, but all I had to do was look at my bookshelves. Do you know how many books are on there I've never reviewed? I really need to get on that!

So here goes...
