The last time I saw my best friend’s younger brother, he was a geek wearing braces. But when Cannon shows up to crash in my spare room, I get a swift reality check.

Now twenty-four, he’s broad shouldered and masculine, and so sinfully sexy, I want to climb him like the jungle gyms we used to enjoy. At six-foot-something with lean muscles hiding under his T-shirt, a deep sexy voice, and full lips that pull into a smirk when he studies me, he’s pure temptation.

Fresh out of a messy breakup, he doesn’t want any entanglements. But I can resist, right?

I’m holding strong until the third night of our new arrangement when we get drunk and he confesses his biggest secret of all: he’s cursed when it comes to sex. Apparently he’s a god in bed, and women instantly fall in love with him.

I’m calling bullshit. In fact, I’m going to prove him wrong, and if I rack up a few much-needed orgasms in the process, all the better.

There’s no way I’m going to fall in love with Cannon. But once we start... I realize betting against him may have been the biggest mistake of my life.

Review: Womanizer by Katy Evans

January 05, 2017

Womanizer by Katy Evans
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Standalone Manwhore #4
Release: December 5, 2016
Genre: Contemporary
Trope: best friend's sibling
POV: Heroine
Length: 300 pages

You've seen the headlines: Womanizing billionaire player! Watch out! Stay away!

We were just two strangers. Facing a forbidden attraction, a chemical connection. Neither of us expected or wanted it to amount to more.
But I had never been drawn to a guy the way I was drawn to this one: my brother's best friend, and CEO of the company where I interned.
Even knowing I should stay away, I proved to be too human, after all.
The chemistry was amazing.
The laughs were incredible.
I opened up to him in more ways than I'd opened up to anyone before.
But sex was as far as I'd go.
Just sex because he was too irresistible.
Just sex because I wouldn't be falling for him.
Just sex because I'd leave in three months, and I'd like for my brother not to kill me, and for nobody to find out he was my wicked little secret.
He wasn't the One.
He was just a womanizer.
But for a time, he would be mine.

Review: Hollywood Prince by Kim Karr

January 01, 2017

Hollywood Prince by Kim Karr
Release Date: January 2, 2017
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Trope: best friend's sibling
POV: Dual - 1st person
Steam: 4 out of 5
Series or Standalone: Standalone, but there is crossover from other books from this author (notably Bedwrecker and No Pants Required)

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When I finished reading Bedwrecker, I was excited to see that Keen's brother, Brooklyn, would be getting his own story. I was already charmed by his character and couldn't wait to see what his HEA would look like. Color me delighted when I found out that his love interest was none other than Amelia, Cam's little sister (Cam is from No Pants Required).

Amelia has always dreamed of her very own prince charming. She soon finds herself with quite the dilemma because she's got two of them clamoring for her attention. One seems to have all of the makings of Mr. Right, while the other, the one she is intensely attracted to, a player, a bad boy, seems like Mr. Oh So Wrong. How does one choose? She'll eventually learn to let her heart decide.

I obviously enjoyed this story. Kim Karr has a knack for creating well-developed characters that are not only multi-faceted but extremely easy to like. I haven't met a character of hers yet that I didn't love. However, as much as I enjoyed Amelia (she was a riot), there was something about Brooklyn that really endeared him to me. He was a little lost, not as confidant as he portrayed, and at his core, he was an honest to goodness awesome guy.

I recommend this book to anyone looking for a real, fun and steamy read!
