The god of magic has lost his mind. Literally. A reluctant nurse with a healing touch may have the power to save him...She only needs to be convinced.

If you like a no-nonsense heroine with an attitude to keep even a mad god in check, you'll enjoy this fun instalment of 'The Court of the Underworld.'

Thanks to a curse he can't remember getting, Hermes's memories are locked away so tight that even the god of thieves has no way of picking the locks. After twenty years of being held prisoner, he's not even sure he wants them back.

Selene has worked off her shitty ex-boyfriend's debt to Hades, but the Lord of Styx can't be denied when he wants something. He needs Hermes back and the information he has on Pithos to take them down forever, and Hades wants Selene to help him get it.

It doesn't matter that the mad god kind of scares parts of her and makes other bits heat up, Hermes is refusing to tolerate anyone else's help, and for a god of boundaries...he sure has none.

HERMES is a new story based on characters from Greek Myth. It contains adult content, including violence, swearing, and steamy sex scenes.

My Two Cents

4.5 "Ain't Nothing Like a Broken Male" stars

I'm gonna be honest here... I think this may have been my favorite book of this series yet!

Hermes, the herald of the Olympian gods, the protector of human heralds, travellers, thieves, merchants, and orators, is no longer the male everyone used to know and love. After being struck by madness by his father (Zeus was one messed up dude) and kept prisoner by a cult of monster hunters, he was finally rescued by Hades and working on putting the pieces of himself back together. The person who helped him the most... everyone's favorite nurse, Selene.

She's had her share of heartbreak and only a fool would fall for the god of tricks. But what could she do when he was so gosh darned irresistible? I know I couldn't resist how delicious this male was so who could blame a girl for falling?

I felt so much from this story, from its characters and the continuing background plot to all of the side characters. I'm so in love with these people! And I was a sucker for the way that Hermes both suffered and grew in this book. He made my day with his reaction when he met his new brother, Perseus.

He might look like Zeus, but he is much kinder, Hermes decided. Zeus would've destroyed him. Which made him happy all over again that his father was dead.
After Perseus left, Hermes decided that maybe having siblings might just be enjoyable for once.

The way the brothers bonded (Hermes, Asterion, Perseus), the ease of their connection, really helped to sell this story to me. The patience and understanding everyone had for everything Hermes was going through, Selene's compassion... It was very easy to give this story all of the stars!

If you're a lover of romance, broken heroes who still have it going on, sweet heroines with bits of fire, and a plot that won't quit, read these books! Thanatos is next and I've already got it on lock!!

A demi-goddess with the power over life and death, the God of the Underworld burning for revenge... it's a forbidden obsession waiting to happen.
Hades is ready to take the fight to the gang Pithos who keep pissing him off and messing with his business. When a money trail leads back to Demeter, Queen of Athens, he takes the one thing she values; her daughter Persephone.

Persephone is no pampered princess. With a curse to create life in one hand and control death with the other, she's going to make life Hell for her kidnapper.

Hades is willing to play dirty to get what he wants, but he's about to meet his match in the irresistible demi-goddess who only plays to win.

HADES is a modern re-telling of the Hades and Persephone Greek Myth. It contains adult content, including violence, swearing, and steamy sex scenes.

My Two Cents

3.5 "The Balance of Life and Death" stars

Was I surprised when I found out who was behind Pithos? Nope, not so much. I kinda figured it would be someone they were all familiar with and I had a few names bouncing around in my head. The person responsible for all of the horrors was someone on my list. Who are they? Ummm... read the books to find out!

So Hades is the King, god of the Underworld, and he seems to be hot as sin. Everything of death (and I'm guessing life) is his domain. Persephone has two gifts — life and death. And because of these gifts, her mother has kept her away from Hades' grasp. She's been led to believe that he's someone to fear. However, one reckless night six years ago showed Persephone that more than her gifts could be at stake... and her heart couldn't take it.

"You're dark and beautiful and all the cursed things belong to you," Persephone sighed as sleep began to pull her away. "And I'm so very, very cursed."

Six years later, they haven't forgotten each other. Too bad she knows who he is and he doesn't have a clue who the mystery woman who haunts him really is. Until he does and no one, not even the female herself, is going to keep them apart.

He would never be able to predict what she would do, and he loved it even though it frustrated him at the same time.

Okay, so I didn't like this one as much as the previous books. I assumed, with how much I liked the first two heroines, that I would automatically like Persephone. I didn't. For most of this book, I had to keep reminding myself that she was in her 30s because she acted and reacted like a teenager or new adult. It was annoying. While I'm supposed to be sympathetic because her goddess mother kept her sheltered and oppressed, my understanding only reaches so far. Ah well, at least I had all of the other characters to make it up to me.

Hermes is next and he's one broken god of thieves. And you know I can't resist the broken ones. I've already got it lined up!

MYTH OF DRAGONS.

My Two Cents

5 "It could only be you" stars

Where oh where do I even begin to tell you how much I loved this story?

I think it's known how much of a fan of Aja James I am. If not, have you really missed all of my raving reviews?

Myth of Dragons had an almost whimsical and lyrical way of telling the story. It was light and airy, with elements of darkness that in no way outshone the love and joy and connection these characters shared.

She’d never wanted anyone, anything, as much as she wanted Sai. And she never would. He was her dragon, her prince. Whatever he was called, whatever he was, he was hers. And he was waiting, now, for her to claim him. So, she would.

Ever heard the myth of the Pale Prince? He was fierce and kind, lethal and loyal, tortured and generous and full of a love unlike anything he had known before. Sai was so beautiful. I could not get enough of him. And it wasn't just the way his physical form was described, which didn't hurt. It was his heart. His very soul. He was majestic and deserved someone who could be his equal and no one was meant to stand by his side more than Brigid.

This was where he belonged.
She was his home.
There would be no other for him.
Not ever.
Brigid was life.

Where Sai was ethereal and almost unreal, Brigid was everything solid. She was honest, sweet, intuitive, loving, nurturing, and possessed magic beyond anything she could imagine. Who was she? And how did she fit into the plot? And who really cared when she was awesome and only became something better when Sai was involved?

The only truth in your statements is that you are the man I want.
The dragon I love.
I only want you.
And no matter what happens, I will always love you.
My Sai.

Another task, another journey, but this time, instead of Ere and Sorin leading the charge, it was sweet Ben and Annie who took their place. Why? OMG why is Sorin not well? Why is my heart breaking right along with Ere's? Why can't these amazing characters ever catch a break? Okay, I already know that the author is going to blow me away with what she has planned for the future of these people so I'm not really worried. I'm sure it's going to be incredible. I just have to work through this pain until then!

Sorin was the sun. He was the moon and the stars and the entire cosmos all in one. Such light, strength and goodness should never be dimmed, never mind extinguished. How would the rest of them go on? How would Ere live?

The most beautiful gorgon in legend. A blind thief with everything to lose...It's going to be a heist to remember.

If you like sexy thieves and vengeful goddesses, you'll enjoy this fast-paced instalment of 'The Court of the Underworld.'

Medusa rules her media empire from behind the safety of a thousand screens, and she has her own private sculpture garden of dumb ass humans that have tried to cross her.

Perseus's lousy day has gone from bad to worse. Trying to go legit after a career of thieving is hard in a city like Styx, but when his baby sister Dany is kidnapped by a gang demanding he does one last job for them, he's got no choice but to get back in the game.

To save Dany, he's going to have to break into Serpentine Tower and steal a necklace from Medusa, the only token in the world that protects its wearer against her deadly gaze.

Medusa doesn't like people touching her things, and she's got the perfect spot in her garden for a statue of a sexy thief.

MEDUSA is a modern re-telling of the Greek Gorgon Myth. It contains adult content, including violence, swearing, and steamy sex scenes.

My Two Cents

4 "The Princess and the Thief" stars

Okay, so that was such a sweet read and not at all what I expected from Medusa. I really enjoyed this!

Medusa, tech guru extraordinaire, was a true goddess. Yup, she's a gorgon and so much more. She and The Court of Styx, headed by Hades, have a war on their hands. A secret cult has unleashed deadly assaults to kill the gods. And Medusa is their latest intended victim.

Perseus is the greatest thief of all time. Nearly blind and brave, he was the latest tool of destruction to be used by Pithos. When he rejected their offer, he was given no choice after his sister was taken hostage. He was expected to take down Medusa and yet, he knew that he couldn't. He wouldn't. And what better way to get out of the task then to work with the very monster he was supposed to destroy?

All she could think about was how the cute criminal had tried to protect her.
Twice.
Perseus had literally stepped in front of a gun, even though he had watched her take down the other attackers.
She didn't know if it made him adorably brave or incredibly stupid.

I absolutely loved the dynamic between Medusa and Perseus. They had that kind of instant connection that works so well in romance stories. They had such beautiful hearts and it was a joy to watch them find love with one another. Their interactions with each other and the family and friends around them were both hilariously amusing and heartwarming. I'm just really in love with all of these characters and I'm excited to get an in-depth perspective on each of them.

"I want you. I want you like I've wanted nothing else in my whole damn life. Not a perfect heist or a painting career or f--king anything,"

I do wonder if the person behind Pithos, the person trying to kill all of the monsters using a cult of disillusioned humans is actually a monster themselves. Wouldn't that be a kick in the nuts? Finding out their greatest enemy used to be one of their dearest friends or something? It's obviously building up to be someone they least expect.

I'm still so glad I found this author and this series and I've already got the next book loaded up. Hades is next!

The Labyrinth is a place of deals and desire, where the wealthy and dangerous play. Asterion's word is law, and he rules the club and fighting arena with an iron fist. As a member of the Court of Styx, no one in Greece is willing to risk crossing him...well, almost no one.

Ariadne is an assassin, with no job too hard or too dirty. She'll do anything to get revenge on her powerful, a-hole boss who murdered her sister and is keeping her in debt to him. When she receives the contract of her life, everything she's ever wanted is in reach.

She only has to kill Asterion, the most dangerously sexy man she's ever met, and piss off Hades in the process. No problem.

ASTERION is a modern re-telling of the Greek Minotaur Myth. It contains adult content, including violence, swearing, and steamy sex scenes.

My Two Cents

4 "Killing the Unkillable" stars

Up for some action and adventure with a strong dose of mythological retelling thrown in?

I don't usually pay attention to what Amazon recommends to me. Seriously, I do not understand their algorithm because most of what they send me is nothing I would want. But this book... kudos to Amazon for getting it right!

I can't help that I adore your crazy, violent, smart ass self."

After a lifetime trapped underground, becoming a monster of lore, Asterion is finally free to live the life he was always meant to thanks to his uncle Hades. Yes, that Hades. Unfortunately for him, there's a human militia group out there who believe they are monster killers and he's been made their latest target. And Ariadne is the assassin they manipulate to get the job done.

He'd never been in love, but it would explain his need of her, his constant desire to protect her.
Mine, the Minotaur said, and he felt the truth of it settle deep inside of him.

All Ariadne wants is to be free of her master. If that means she's got to kill another bad guy, then that's what she'll do. But why doesn't she get bad guy vibes from Asterion?

Because someone is working behind the scenes to manipulate them all!

Throw in an instant connection between Ariadne and Asterion and you've got the makings of a great story. To say I was entertained would be an understatement. I've already got the next book loaded up. I want to learn more about everyone. There's Hades, of course, and Medusa, Erebus, Thanatos, Charon and I'm sure so many more I'll get the chance to meet soon.

I love when a new-to-me author draws me in right from the start. I'm recommending this series!!

When a vicious attack leaves 25-year-old Clementine Johns with no memory, she's forced to start over. Now she has to figure out who she was and why she made the choices she did - which includes leaving the supposed love of her life, tattoo artist Ed Larsen, only a month before.

Ed can hardly believe it when his ex shows up at his tattoo parlor with no memory of their past, asking about the breakup that nearly destroyed him. The last thing he needs is more heartache, but he can't seem to let her go again. Should they walk away for good, or does their love deserve a repeat performance?

My Two Cents

3 "Where do we go from here?" stars

I'll admit, like I always do, that I'm a sucker for a second chance at love story. So when Repeat was released and I was privy to all of its wonderful reviews, I knew I had to read it. And almost 3 years later, here we are!

So Clem ended her relationship with Ed and devastated them both. A month later, she was viciously attacked and has no memory of people, places, and most things. In order to learn more about her past self, she goes to the one person she should leave alone... Ed.

He makes me happy. He makes me feel wonderful things. From all of the heat of desire and warmth of affection through to the way he fills the empty places inside of me and feeding my curiosity with thoughts and words and experiences.

Now see Ed, he's the one left behind. All he knows is that the woman he loved decided one day that he wasn't the man she knew and left him. He's the one who has had to pick up the pieces of his life. And in waltzes Clem, who remembers nothing, feels nothing. What's a man to do?

I really liked the way this was written. Clem's journey of finding herself was enlightening and entertaining. However, I would have loved to get Ed's perspective of things. He went through a lot and continued to go through a lot and I wanted to see inside of his heart.

How previous me ever left him is beyond me. I honestly feel a little bad for the girl. No wonder she was apparently so heartbroken. To lose Ed in all his wondrousness would be a terrible thing.

The suspenseful elements were ridiculous and I didn't like how so much time was spent on them, and yet the resolution to it all was so lackluster. It definitely could have been better.

Second chances, old and now new friendships, and learning how to love again. That's what this story has to offer and I think you'll enjoy it too!

Excerpt

“Amnesia,” he mutters for about the hundredth time. Usually, ‘fuck’, ‘shit’, or some blasphemy follows that statement. This time, however, there’s nothing. Maybe he’s finally getting used to the idea. I sit on the opposite side of the booth, inspecting the cocktail menu. It’s as gross and sticky as the table.“Can I get you guys something else?” asks the waiter with a practiced smile.

“I’ll have a piña colada.”

“You hate coconut,” Ed Larsen informs me, slumped back in his seat.

“Oh.”

“Try a margarita.”

“What he said,” I tell the waiter, who presumably thinks we have some kinky dom-sub thing going on.

Ed orders another lite beer, watching me the entire time. I don’t know if his blatant examination is better or worse than my sister’s furtive looks. He’d suggested going back to his place to talk. I declined. I don’t know the guy, and it didn’t feel safe. So instead we came here. The bar is dark and mostly empty, given it’s the middle of the afternoon, but at least it’s public.

“How old are you?” I ask.

In response, he pulls his wallet out of his back pocket and passes me his driver’s license.

“Thank you.” Information is good. More definites. “You’re seven years older than me.”

“Yeah.”

“How serious were we? Did we stay together for long?”

He licks his lips, turns away. “Don’t you have someone else you can ask about all this? Your sister?”

I just look at him.

He frowns, but then sighs. “We saw each other for about half a year before moving in together. That lasted eight months.”

“Pretty serious.”

“If you say so.” His face isn’t happy. But I need to know.

“Did I cheat on you?”

Now the frown comes with a glare.

Despite his don’t-fuck-with-me vibes, it’s hard not to smile. The man is blessed in the DNA department. He’s so pretty. Masculine pretty. I’m not used to being attracted to people, and he’s giving me a heart-beating-harder, tingles-in-the-pants kind of sensation, which is a lot new and a little overwhelming. Makes me want to giggle and flip my hair at him like some vapid idiot.

But I don’t. “It’s just that I’m getting some distinct vibes that somehow I’m the bad guy in all this.”

“No, you didn’t cheat on me,” he growls. “And I didn’t cheat on you either, no matter what you might have thought.”

My brows jump. “Huh. So that’s why we broke up?”

“This is fucked. Actually, it was fucked the first time.” He turns away and finishes the last of his beer. “Jesus.”

I just keep quiet, waiting.

“You have no memories, no feelings about me whatsoever?”

“No, nothing.”

A muscle jumps in his jaw, his hands sitting fisted on the table.

“It’s called traumatic retrograde amnesia,” I say, trying to explain. “What they call my ‘episodic memory’ is gone—all my memories of events and people and history. Personal facts. But I can still make a cup of coffee, read a book, or drive a car. Stuff like that. Things that were done repetitively, you know? Not that I’m allowed to drive at the moment. My car’s sitting outside my sister’s house gathering dust. They said to give it some time before I got behind the wheel again, make sure I’m okay. Also, apparently the part of my brain in charge of inhibitions and social restrictors, et cetera, is a bit messed up, so I don’t always react right, or at least not necessarily how you’d expect me to behave based on previous me.”

“Previous you?”

I shrug. “It’s as good a label for her as any.”

“She’s you. You’re her.”

“Maybe. But she’s still a complete stranger to me.”

“Christ,” he mutters.

This is awkward. “I’m upsetting you. I’m sorry. But there are things I need to know, and I’m hoping you can help me out with some of them.”

Ava Beckinsale is living her dream. She's the new World Champion and determined to defend and honour the belt she worked so hard to win.

As soon as she thinks she has a handle on her reign, out of the shadows comes Tanika Taniela. An undefeated fighter held down for years, hidden away with a secret she was told to keep buried.

But Tanika is done hiding, and she's craving a chance to claim Ava's belt.

When the unknown fighter unleashes her rage, revealing her secret to the world on international TV, the fighting world erupts, battle lines are drawn, and Ava is dragged into the last place she wants to be, once more a pawn in the MMA machine.

Now, the new champion's emotions and principles are getting in her way, but allies emerge from the unlikeliest places, and Ava has to return to a lesson she thought she'd already learned: sometimes your greatest opponent is yourself.

My Two Cents

4 "Unbreakable" stars

Ava's the female MMA Champion of the world and as you can imagine, she's on top of the world. However, being so high only means that the fall could hit harder. And yet, she's determined, fierce, and simply so amazing that life's hurdles and the politics of the game are going to have a hard time getting her down.

She's a freaking badass! The author did an incredible job of bringing Ava to life for me and I found it so easy to like her. Her heart... this woman's heart was beautiful!

To be honest, I'm not the best at perfectly imagining what a character would look like in real life, but for Ava, I did find myself constantly picturing one real person...

Paige VanZant

Athletic, beautiful, competitive, generous, kind. loyal, relatable, and smart. She was my kind of heroine. She outshone almost everyone in this book. Almost.

Because it was IMPOSSIBLE to not see Tanika. She was loud, she was proud, and she definitely wanted to be seen.

Seriously. She was a hot mess, but for some reason, all of her mad schemes, yelling for attention, controversial behavior, and randomness worked. I can't imagine being trans and trying to fit into a world that doesn't want to accommodate you, but that's just what she did. And not only did she do it, she succeeded. And the way it was captured for us to read... utterly captivating.

Even when it got really messy.

And don't even get me started on the romance between the champion and the former champion. Can you imagine getting it on with someone who not only kicked your ass, but you kicked her ass right back?

I truly enjoyed these characters and their journeys. They were so different and yet not so much. Their trials, their tribulations, their support teams, their yearnings all forced them to face exactly what they wanted. For Tanika, that was acceptance. For Ava, it was more about feeling complete. Aside from a bit of yuri anime back in the day (or a lot lol), I haven't read girl love before. At least not in a contemporary way. However, it's Aaron L. Speer and I trust him. Good call on my part because this story... it just works!

He's a notorious crime lord—and he’s on the hunt for her.

Maxheim Skolov is mafia royalty. Worlds above her. Ice-cold and merciless. Driven by duty and dark secrets.

Tess is property. Expected to submit. Imprisoned by ruthless criminals determined to break her for information she can’t afford to give.

Because she’s got a secret that could change everything—and the last thing she wants is to put it in the hands of her enemies.

Except there’s something different about the heir to the Skolvo crime family that awakens long buried instincts within Tess and draws her toward the man inside the beast.

A force more dangerous than anything she’s faced to date.

So, she runs. But she won’t get far.

For mafia prince Maxheim Skolov, hunting down the rebellious, spirited female is a certainty. He’ll do whatever it takes to possess her secret.

The real question is what he’ll do with her—and to her—when he catches her.

Savage Prince: A Dark Mafia Omegaverse Fated-Mates Romance is the second book in the Ruthless Warlords series. It is a scorching HOT standalone, though it is recommended to read the series in order for greatest enjoyment.

Like all the books in the series, it includes:
A ruthless alien mafia boss
An innocent heroine growing into her power
A fated bond
Plenty of hot omegaverse action
Betrayal, murder, and revenge
Serious plot twists
And an epic romance that proves love will always triumph over hate.

My Two Cents

4 "Fated Mates for the kinda sorta win" stars

I didn't like Tess, but I sure did like this story.
I couldn't get enough of Maxheim.
I enjoyed some more of the world building and what all of the characters added to the big story (even the bad guys).
I loved how dedicated Max was to his omega. Who can resist an Alpha who can be weak and vulnerable for his mate? I know I can't.

I do wish that Tess wasn't so hard to like. She fought, which I liked. I do love strong females, but she fought too hard against Max, who had already shown how much he cared and was willing to do to make her happy. What more could he really do to illustrate how great of a male he was? Why did she feel the need to keep lying, hiding, fighting, etc.? It got repetitive, hurtful, and boring, which was unexpected because this author has amazed me with everything I've read.

Not to say I wasn't still amazed. I obviously was. But this wasn't my favorite story of the series.

I really want to see what happens next. Is the Sartin female Alexi's fated mate? Will they find their twin siblings? And who is this secret saboteur who has been pulling the strings and wreaking havoc on the Brotherhood, especially my beloved Skolovs?

Quick Tease

“It’s a dangerous world out there, especially for an omega.”
“I know it all too well.”Her chin tipped up. “I know what I am. What my omega instincts crave.”She blushed, tightening the blanket around her. “But that doesn’t mean I should be forced to bend, bow, and submit to anyone stronger.”
“I’m not just anyone.”
“No, you’re not.”She looked at him—really looked at him—and his heart beat fast. Then she ruined it by saying, “But a cage is still a cage. If I don’t try to make it out in the world, I’ll never know if I can.”
“You can’t. Even if the Brotherhood wasn’t after you.”He didn’t even bother to sugarcoat it. “We already went over this with the other omegas. Your best shot for the kind of life you want is with me.”His voice dropped. “As mine.”
Was that unfair? Yes. Did he feel bad about it? Not really. That was just the way life in Anarcheim was, and he wasn’t one to hesitate to take advantage of it.
He and his were lucky that he was one of the strong.
“The Alphas you’ve dealt with until now and I are very different, little one. Don’t make the mistake of putting us in the same category.”He let his voice soften. “I don’t want to crush your will. I like your spirit. It makes me horny to taste it on my tongue. It makes me want to fuck it right out of you, again and again.”
She bit her lip, her gaze flickering away.
He could tell his words confused her, almost as much as they excited her.
Too few had told her of her worth. He was damned well changing that immediately.
“I think you’re extraordinary, Tess.”
