Bad Choices & Heartaches by Casey Diam

I wasn't the guy girls ended up with, and I was okay with that.
I was okay with being the f--king experiment.
I was okay with not being perfect.
I was okay with not being the son my father chose.
I was okay with being alone.
Not everyone had someone who accepted them with all their glaring flaws, and I had a shit ton of them.

Ryker Stanley was a stunning specimen of a human, a creation that was aesthetically flawless. He is also a jerk.

I know he hasn’t always been this way—after all, we were once best friends, but when our friendship ended, I watched from the sidelines as he made a series of bad choices, and left dozens of broken hearts in his wake.

He has the looks, the charm, the girls, and as an elite football player, he’s heading off to college months earlier than anyone expected. I need to stay in Alpen Springs, to continue to train for the Olympics.

My timing might not be perfect, but I need to fix things with us, and if the fire in his eyes is any indication, nothing, including our clothes, will be immune to its heat.

I don’t stand a chance of resisting.

Conflicting goals and distance be damned . . . I am about to entrust my heart to my ex-best friend who is known for breaking them.

Bad Choices & Heartaches was both sweet and spicy! It's a friends to enemies to friends to lovers story that made me smile.

Ryker was the bad boy, always finding himself in trouble, getting all the girls, and an All-American football player. He was always there for Gabby, even when she didn't want him. They were best friends until one day when she wanted nothing to do with him. After years of avoiding each other, she comes to him with the truth of her feelings... she likes him, she always did, and what is he supposed to do with that?

Amidst typical teenage drama and fun times, a beautiful story of new beginnings came to light. I adored Gabby's drive to win at the Olympics. I'm all for women in sports and Gabby's journey was exciting. These two had a few bumps to get through and I was happy to see them handle themselves so maturely. Don't get it twisted, they still had immature moments (mostly Gabby to be honest), but they were smart and together when it mattered.

Cute and oh so sexy (Ryker was truly delicious), this story is an easy recommendation to make.

Some years ago, Casey rediscovered her passion for writing and hasn’t stopped writing since. She writes sexy, funny, sweet, and emotional stories that are a bit more in depth, but so much fun to read.
Casey is an Army Veteran who loves to travel. She has a ridiculously short attention span and loves coffee and tea without sugar or milk. She was born and raised in Jamaica, and apart from reading and writing, she loves to snowboard.
