Fighting For Rain by BB Easton

"I thought Praying for Rain was one of the most amazing books I'd ever read... and the second one is even better!!!!!"
- T.M. Frazier, USA Today Bestselling Author

Fuck 'em and survive anyway
That ending thooooo... I don't even know what I'm going to do with myself while I'm waiting for Dying For Rain. Rain and Wes made it. They survived April 23rd. Sweeeeet! However, the world had descended into even more chaos and survival wasn't guaranteed. They needed to find food and shelter. They needed to save their friend. And they needed to figure out what their future, if they even had a future, would be.

No getting attached.
Leave before you get left.
Supplies. Shelter. Self-defense.
Survival above all else.

I found so much of this story absolutely hilarious. The introduction of Q and her insane antics kept me extremely entertained. I wonder if I'll see Mz Ridiculous in the next book 😆😆😆 BB Easton has a knack for snagging my attention within a few words and leaving me hungry for more. This trilogy is hypnotic with its despair and its hope and its love. I can't wait to find out how it all ends!

My only issue with this book was Rain's weak attitude. She kept flip flopping, her mood dependent on others. She sent mixed signals, she couldn't make up her mind, and I found her to be a little too flighty. My heart absolutely went out to her for what she had suffered, but I'm not down with her milking her situation. Everyone has suffered. She's surrounded by suffering. I think she just needed to grieve and work through her emotions rather than hiding from them. That's what I wanted for her. No one's saying she can't be sad or melancholy. She's more than earned the right. So just be sad!

About the Book
The world was supposed to end on April 23, but Rainbow Williams’s world ended days before that. The mass hysteria caused by the impending apocalypse claimed everything she’d ever loved. Her family. Her city. Her will to live.

Until she met him.

Wes Parker didn’t have anything left for the apocalypse to take … he’d already lost it all by the time he was nine years old. His family. His home. His hope of ever being loved.

Until he met her.

Brought together by fate and bound by a love that would last lifetimes, Rain and Wes were prepared to die together on April 23.

They were not prepared for what would happen on April 24.

Who is BB Easton?
BB Easton lives in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, with her long-suffering husband, Ken, and two adorable children. She recently quit her job as a school psychologist to write books about her punk rock past and deviant sexual history full-time. Ken is suuuper excited about that.

BB’s memoir, 44 Chapters About 4 Men, and the spin-off 44 Chapters novels are being adapted into a steamy, female-centered dramedy series for Netflix called Sex/Life. Coming late 2020 or early 2021.

The Rain Trilogy is her first work of fiction. The idea, fittingly, came to her in a dream.

If that sounds like the kind of person you want to go around being friends with, then by all means, feel free to drop her a line. You can find her procrastinating at all of the following places:
