Starlet by Cora Kenborn

June 18, 2020

She's my salvation and damnation.
My redemption and ruin.
The biggest mistake I'll never regret.

-- Synopsis --

Starlet by Cora Kenborn
They call me America's Sweetheart.
Hollywood royalty. The last of an era.
Sole survivor of LA's most infamous crime.

I'm not any of those things.
He forced me into the spotlight.
The liar with a perfect smile and cold blue eyes.

But Alexandra Romanov’s fate won't be mine.
I'll speak her lines. I'll hit the mark. I'll strike a pose.
And when the past and present collide, I'll become their worst nightmare.

They told me to preserve the legacy.
Be careful what you ask for. . .
You just might get it.

Please be aware this book contains dark themes and sensitive subject matter that are essential to the storyline but may bother some readers.

Eli by Jessica Gadziala

If I never wanted the rage to win again, I needed to stay away from anything that triggered it.

Eli by Jessica Gadziala
Six years on the inside gave a man a lot of time to think. And a lot of time to plan. When I got out, I was determined for things to go a different way. I never wanted to lose control and rage out again.

The only way to accomplish that, though, was to shut it all down.
Complete disconnect.

That meant no family, no friends, no links to anything attached to the man I was before.

Of course the problem was, I never factored HER into my plans. And try as I might, I couldn’t find a way to shut it down, to disconnect from her.

I had a sneaking suspicion she was going to take all my carefully constructed plans and toss them out the window, was going to force me to face up the demons inside and confront the ghosts from my past.

Those ghosts?
They wore the faces of my family.

And a confrontation with them, yeah, I had a feeling it was going to show me that I had spent six years taking action on beliefs about the demons inside. Demons that had never actually existed in the first place…

Mark by Jessica Gadziala

June 17, 2020

I wanted to pull her apart and see how the pieces worked. I wanted to know what made her tick the way she did. Then I wanted to put her right back into her own particular, perfect working order and enjoy the fuck out of her until the both of us were just piles of sweat and orgasm-sated, numb, tangled limbs. Then we could go from there. That seemed like a good jumping-off point.

Ryan by Jessica Gadziala

June 16, 2020

...when a hot as all sin man went down on you, screwed you blind, deaf, and dumb, and then demanded you cuddle up with him, you cuddled up with him.

-- Synopsis --

Ryan by Jessica Gadziala
RYAN
She was perfect:
Sweet, smart, awkwardly adorable, and beautiful as hell.
The only problem was:
she was terrified to leave her apartment.
And, apparently, she had somehow gotten herself wrapped up with some pretty bad guys to boot.

DUSTY
He was perfect:
He was a living, breathing, walking, talking statue come to life.
But when would a man like that ever want to be with a woman who was too anxious to even walk into the hallway? Let alone go on a date with him. Or meet the family he was so close with.
That being said, he seemed interested for some reason.
So obviously, he was just as crazy as I was.
On top of that whole confusion situation, something was going on with my business partners. And things were about to go straight to hell…

Shane by Jessica Gadziala

Love is not unconditional. And it never should be. Everyone should know that there is only so much they can get away with before you wash your hands of their shit.

Shane by Jessica Gadziala
I was just supposed to be laying low, keeping my head down, staying out of trouble.

And "trouble" was exactly what Shane freaking Mallick was. Knee-cap breaker, loan shark enforcer, panty-dropper. Trouble with a capital T.

And the absolute last thing I needed in my life...

Top Ten Books on My Summer 2020 TBR

I am brand spanking new to the world of book memes/tags. I've participated in a couple, but my consistency is sadly lacking. I finally took the time to find tags that fit me, that I can actually do, and here I am. I read all. the. time. and I'm always looking for new reads and recommendations. For this weeks theme, which is what I'm looking forward to reading this summer, I had a ton of fun finding reads and actually making a list. Fingers crossed that I actually read them!

Please feel free to tell me what you're excited about reading in the comments below (or recommend a book or two)

1. Fifth a Fury by Pepper Winters ➤ it releases today and I had it on pre-order so you know I'll be busy, right?
2. Because You Love to Hate Me anthology ➤ I bought the hardcover a while ago and I've been meaning to get to it for a while. It may not be a new release, but I'm still looking forward to reading it.
3. Broken by Cynthia Eden ➤ another book that is far from new, but I have the entire LOST series sitting on my bookshelf and I adore this author. Not a hard choice.
4. Incendiary by Zoraida Córdova ➤ I just got this book in my May OwlCrate box. Not only is the cover absolutely gorgeous, but the story sounds amazing. I. Can't. Wait!!
5. The Beast by J.R. Ward ➤ something else that isn't new, but I've been eager to get back to this series and I'm really looking forward to it. I might even re-read some of the earlier books.
6. Joke's On You by Lani Lynn Vale ➤ it's already out, but I've read the previous books in the series and plan to read the rest of the series, so I refuse to skip a book. Even if they're all standalones.
7. Somethin' About That Boy by Lani Lynn Vale ➤ I've actually already read this one, but it is a summer release so... It releases on June 23rd.
8. Join the Club by Lani Lynn Vale ➤ releasing July 14th and I'm loving this series! This one is about Bourne & Delanie, which is a story I've been dying to read.
9. Any Day Now by Lani Lynn Vale ➤ releasing August 11th and obviously I'm an LLV fan.
10. Sicko by Amo Jones ➤ it releases August 4th and after all the hype about this book, I have to read it. Amo Jones is always good for a massive mindfuck!

The Sun and Her Star by Dylan Allen

June 13, 2020

I look down at the top of Apollo’s head. Her daddy must have been really smart giving her that name. Because she’s just like the sun. She chases away the dark. She lights me up and makes me worth looking at.

The Sun and Her Star by Dylan Allen
Graham was born to be a star.
Once upon a time, that star shone only for me.

Now, I have to share him with the rest of the world.

For a while, I thought I could do it. Because, beneath the hypnotic smile, gorgeous body and God-given charm that made him famous, I still caught glimpses of my best friend.

Of the boy who called me sunshine and loved me.

I wore that love like a crown . . . until he placed it on another’s head.

Losing him was agony, distance felt like the only cure.

When tragedy reunites us after years apart, it only takes one touch to erase the past. Just like that, I'm back in his arms.
He promises this time will be different. But I’m afraid to believe him.

Because behind his star’s blinding brilliance is a darkness that doesn’t want to let him go.

I know a star that bright can’t belong to just one person, but my jealous heart doesn’t want to share him.

I want all of him . . . even if wanting what doesn't belong to me leads me to ruin.

Fourth a Lie by Pepper Winters

Right now, love was an idea, a promise, a word. It could be snatched away as quickly as we’d conjured it.
