December 2020 Recap

December 29, 2020

We're heading into the new year and I cannot believe it's already here. What. The. Eff?! Seriously, who knew that being on lockdown didn't stop time from moving just as fast as usual. Christmas around my house was pretty tame this year with no visitors and I didn't do the rounds, but I'm hoping to be back to normal next year. Virtual Christmas just ain't the same. I missed eating everyone's food!!

As you will see, my reading this month was absolutely pitiful. I'm usually a book a day kind of woman. I get through books so fast it's ridiculous. So... the fact that I've only read less than half of my usual amount of books this month should give you a HUGE hint as to my reading mood lately. If I had one wish, besides wishing for good health and happiness for those I care about most, I'd ask that I can get back to my normal reading habits for 2021.

I hope you all have a happy and safe introduction to the new year!! Oh, and if you happen to want to check out my 'best of' lists for 2020, you can find it HERE.

November 2020 Recap

December 04, 2020

When was the last time a book got on your nerves for no reason? As most of you know, I was in the worst book slump I've ever been in. THE ABSOLUTE WORST!! It took way too long to get out of it, especially because it felt like I was forcing myself to read when I just wasn't in the mood, but for November, I chose to read whatever called to me. And it freaking worked!! No more slump. No more bad mood. No more negative bookish vibes. I'm not all the way back to normal, but I'm definitely better and that's gotta count for something. I'm hoping I can keep this positive momentum going up until the new year and that 2021 brings me all the best books possible.

I did read other books this month that I didn't post about on my blog, such as:
Wing and a Prayer by Amy Cissell
Angels of the Triad: Sariel by Maddie Wade
Wings of the Wraith by Khardine Gray
Before the Fall by Colleen S. Myers
Devil's Claim by Dariel Raye & Muffy Wilson
Arija and The Burning City by Zachary Paul Chopchinski
Chasing Fate by J.R. Thorn
Torn: a Fallen Angel love story by Ditter Kellen
Unsuitable Companions by Erin Lee

To-Read & Haul
I only added two books to my TBR for November. They are: Between Dawn and Dusk by Jamie Schlosser (to start a series that sounds incredibly good) and Daughter of Death by Lexi Foss (after reading Son of Chaos, I need to go back to the beginning).

And although I wasn't in the reading mood, I knew I would be some day, so I was still buying books (obviously). I'm still excited to read what I got. My one-click digital buys were:

Prisoned by Marni Mann
The Rivals: a Rivers Wilde Collection by Dylan Allen (pre-order)
Runaway Road by Devney Perry
Knight's Redemption by Sherilee Gray
The Swedish Prince by Karina Halle
Special Delivery by Lauren Blakely
Blood Seeker by Lexi C. Foss

October 2020 Wrap Up

November 02, 2020

October 2020 Wrap Up
October was freaking ridiculous for me. I didn't get to read everything I wanted to read because my dumb ass deleted an album archive that held ALL of the graphics for my blog. ALL OF THEM!! It was a devastating loss. I spent this month trying to recreate or find some of those graphics and deleting the posts that couldn't be saved (and weren't needed anymore anyway). I went through a gamut of emotions such as rage, frustration, irritation, annoyance, sadness, grief, and finally, after I was satisfied that I did all I could do, I felt triumph.

Despite the fact that we're still in isolation here and I haven't been able to truly enjoy my favorite season of the year, it hasn't been so bad. At least I got some reading done. I hope your month has been incredible and if you have a recap post, leave a link to it below in the comments so I can check it out.

September 2020 Wrap Up

October 01, 2020

I can't believe it's already October! Time flies when you're not having fun it seems. Being stuck in my house (my employer is as cautious as I am when it comes to this pandemic), I'm still not able to keep track of my days like I used to. I've never been so grateful for calendars and phone alerts in my life!

These are my favorite months of the year. I absolutely adore the colors of autumn and during this time, I'm still able to enjoy my comfy clothes, my warm drinks, and my comfort reads. My children and I have had a blast hibernating for the last eight months and despite them starting school, the hibernation continues. What better way to ring in this new month than to reminisce over what I did in the last one?
