Down the TBR Hole was originally created by Lost in a Story! The point of it is to help cull your reading lists down, or maybe push higher anticipated releases up on your TBR! And maybe you all can help me along the way, and tell me if you’ve loved or hated any of these!

How it works:
➽ Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
➽ Order on ascending date added.
➽ Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books - I do about 15-20 because my list is HUGE
➽ Read the synopses of the books
➽ Decide: keep it or should it go?

Sins & Needles (The Artists Trilogy #1) by Karina Halle
Avg rating: 3.96/Release: January 25, 2013

When people noticed that I had read a few of this author's books, they recommended this series. I'm told it's different from anything else I've read from her so I guess we'll just wait and see. Whenever I get to it.
Verdict: keep
Pleasure Unbound (Demonica #1) by Larissa Ione
Avg rating: 4.06/Release: July 1, 2008

I think it's freaking hilarious how many of this author's books currently sit on my tbr and I still haven't read even one. Not a one! Yeah, I need to fix that asap.
Verdict: keep
The Butterfly Project by Emma Scott
Avg rating: 4.47/Release: February 28, 2017

I've recently read the Beautiful Hearts duet by this author and freaking LOVED it! She was able to make me feel, which isn't an easy feat. So reading from her again is a no brainer.
Verdict: keep
Silenced by Leddy Harper
Avg rating: 4.06/Release: February 21, 2017

Every time I've read something from this author, I've enjoyed it but felt like the story was missing something. I kept waiting for that push and never found it. But her writing is special enough to make me try again.
Verdict: keep
Cheater (Curious Liaisons #1) by Rachel Van Dyken
Avg rating: 4.07/Release: February 28, 2017

I've heard great things about this book. I'm no fan of cheaters, but it's RVD!
Verdict: keep
Mister Moneybags by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward
Avg rating: 3.94/Release: April 8, 2017

I think I'm one of the few people who doesn't absolutely love everything that these authors pump out. However, I'm not one to give up and I'm hoping to find something to fall in love with.
Verdict: keep
Cartel (Cartel #1) by Lili St. Germain
Avg rating: 3.90/Release: January 27, 2015

I must admit, I'm a little squeamish to actually read a book that humanizes Dornan. This man was absolutely disgusting in the Gypsy Brothers series and I don't want to like him. I really don't care about his history and despite how much I love all things Lili, I'm going to pass on this series.
Verdict: delete
Jackson Stiles (Road to Redemption #1) by Jo Richardson
Avg rating: 4.23/Release: September 21, 2016

Okay, so I've never read from this author before (or heard of her), but this book came highly recommended by my good friend Snow over at The Sirens Book Reviews so I'll give it a shot.
Verdict: keep
Blackbird (Redemption #1) by Molly McAdams
Avg rating: 4.13/Release: February 28, 2017

I've never read anything from this author before but I figured if I'm gonna try her out, I might as well try a darker read from her than a contemporary one. Please let me love it 🤞
Verdict: keep
Last Call (Cocktail #4.5) by Alice Clayton
Avg rating: 4.17/Release: January 6, 2015

If you've ever read anything from this author, you know that this series isn't to be missed. And after reading all of the other books and LOVING them, I've got to add this one to my list. I'm sure it will be as hilarious as the rest.
Verdict: keep
The Risk (Mindf*ck #1) by S.T. Abby
Avg rating: 4.55/Release: December 1, 2016

When my fellow dark lovers went all gaga over this series, I knew I had to jump on it. So I hurried up and one-clicked it and it's been sitting on my kindle ever since. I desperately want to read it.
Verdict: keep
Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress #1) by Jeaniene Frost
Avg rating: 4.18/Release: October 30, 2007

I really need to read some books by this author. Luckily I have some on my bookshelves and this one will be added too some day (I hope).
Verdict: keep
Kept From You (Tear Asunder #4) by Nashoda Rose
Avg rating: 4.35/Release: March 5, 2017

I'm not sure why I have this book added and not the third book as I haven't read that one either. Ah well, I do intend to read them so I guess this can stay. This is about Killian Kane. Not only is his name super sexy but I have a feeling that he is too.
Verdict: keep
When It's Real by Erin Watt
Avg rating: 4.03/Release: May 30, 2017

Okay, so I already know that I'm one of the few that hasn't read anything by this writing duo. After the pandemonium for The Royals series, I figured the best way to start would be to read a standalone. Let's see if I become a fan girl too 😜
Verdict: keep
Unplugged (Unplugged #1) by Sigal Ehrlich
Avg rating: 3.85/Release: March 10, 2017

I loved the Stark series from this author so when I saw that she was coming out with a new series, without even seeing the blurb, I added it. However, after reading the blurb, I realize that it's a new adult contemporary romance, which is far from what I expected and not really my cuppa. So, I'm gonna pass.
Verdict: delete
Throne of Truth (Truth and Lies Duet #2) by Pepper Winters
Avg rating: 4.01/Release: February 28, 2017

I'm not sure why I have both books of this duet on my tbr. Ah well, I have every intention of reading it so it doesn't matter. It's freaking Pepper Winters. Have you heard of her new book, The Son and His Hope?
Verdict: keep
The Chase (The ICON trilogy #1) by Vanessa Fewings
Avg rating: 3.94/Release: June 6, 2017

I've never read from this author before, but SueBee gave me the recommendation so I'm definitely looking forward to trying this.
Verdict: keep
Blaire (Dark Romance #1) by Anita Gray
Avg rating: 4.38/Release: December 16, 2016

I was actually gifted a copy of this book from the author and it's sitting on my kindle, waiting for me to finally crack it open. When that will be, who knows? I hope it's as dark and lovely as advertised.
Verdict: keep
Legacy Lost by Jillian David
Avg rating: 4.44/Release: Marcy 27, 2017

I remember Legacy of Lies being a western romance with paranormal touches. I'm sure that theme continues on throughout the series, with the darkness still needing to be identified and crushed. I'm just not amped to find out.
Verdict: delete
I, Porn Star (Dark Desires #1) by Zara Cox
Avg rating: 4.16/Release: March 11, 2016

With a cover and title change, I didn't even recognize this book. I've never read from this author before and I probably won't for some time to come. I added this book as part of a giveaway, but I have absolutely NO interest in reading a book about a porn star. I've read a few stories like that by trusted authors and I'm not trusting my heart to someone I have no experience with.
Verdict: delete
