Down the TBR Hole was originally created by Lost in a Story! The point of it is to help cull your reading lists down, or maybe push higher anticipated releases up on your TBR! And maybe you all can help me along the way, and tell me if you’ve loved or hated any of these!

How it works:
➽ Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
➽ Order on ascending date added.
➽ Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books - I do about 15-20 because my list is HUGE
➽ Read the synopses of the books
➽ Decide: keep it or should it go?

Although I find stories by this author to be a bit predictable, I love knowing going in that I'm going to have a good read. I've got so much of his books on my TBR and I hope to make my way through them all eventually.
Verdict: keep

The Blind Raven (A Bird of Night and Sunlight #1) by Regina Del Madrigal
Avg rating: 3.25/Release: August 4, 2016

I can't find a purchase link for this one. I think it may have been recalled. I'm not sure how this one ended up on my tbr. I think it's probably the cover. I really like it! However, with the abundance of horrible reviews, and after reading the blurb, I'm not interested in this one. Have you read it?

Nine: The Tale of Kevin Clearwater (King #9) by T.M. Frazier
Avg rating: 4.26/Release: June 18, 2019

I'm actually reading this right now and LOVING it!! Seriously, if you haven't started the King series yet, what the HECK are you waiting for? Alpha bad boys, hilarious hijinks, suspenseful shenanigans, and love. You need these books in your life!!
Verdict: keep ⇨⇨ Now in my 'already read' pile!

Unconventional (The Vault) by Aleatha Romig
Avg rating: 3.91/Release: January 1, 2018

I'm still relatively new to this author, but I have been Aleatha'd. I love stalker books and this one seems to fit the bill. I'm excited to see how this author works it.
Verdict: keep

Prince Charming by CD Reiss
Avg rating: 4.00/Release: January 4, 2018

Currently sitting on my kindle, I've made it my mission to read everything from this author. Well, anything she's written that fits my precise criteria. This one sounds dee-lish. A British bad boy and an FBI agent... sounds dangerous ;)
Verdict: keep

Strong Signal (Cyberlove #1) by Megan Erickson & Santino Hassell
Avg rating: 4.07/Release: February 15, 2016

I found a page for this on Amazon and the price was ridiculous ($883.46). I think that means that this book is no longer available. It did sound good - M/M military romance - so I'm a little bummed.

Stalker (Psycho #1) by N. Isabelle Blanco
Avg rating: 3.83/Release: ?

This was supposed to be released sometime last year. I was really looking forward to it too. I LOVE stalker books, at least when they're done well, and I know Nyddi could smash it. I'm her little fan girl and I'll read anything she writes. So while there are no talks about publishing this, I'm keeping it, hoping that one day she'll come back to it.
Verdict: keep

Dark Deception (Dangerous Daddy #3) by Zoe Blake
Avg rating: 3.92/Release: January 20, 2018

It took me a while to find a buy link for this one because the author changed the book title. It's now called Bite Me, Daddy. It came highly recommended by Eve from Between the Bookends. It's about a female thief and a badass alpha. I'm most definitely intrigued and I think I'll be bumping this series up on my tbr.
Verdict: keep

Darkness Dawns (Immortal Guardians #1) by Dianne Duvall
Avg rating: 3.98/Release: March 3, 2011

On Goodreads I asked for a PNR recommendation. This book came up quite a bit. I meant to one-click it at the time (a few years ago), but didn't. Then I deleted it from my tbr (by accident). Then I asked for a rec again and this one came up again. So there's that. I guess I'm supposed to read it then, huh?
Verdict: keep

Dirt (Evergreen #1) by Cassia Leo
Avg rating: 4.05/Release: January 10, 2018

It's been a long while since I've read anything from this author. When I started reading romance again a few years ago, her books were some of the first I read. But then I discovered so many other authors and I got distracted. I thought this would be a good book to get into (Hey, it's free), but after reading the reviews of some of my most trusted bloggers, I'm gonna pass :(

Hot As Hell by Vivian Wood
Avg rating: 4.21/Release: January 5, 2018

I haven't had the best of luck when reading this author's books. I feel like I've picked the ones that weren't best sellers. But that cover tho... Ah well, I can't find a purchase link for this one so I guess it doesn't matter.

Cold As Ice (Bedroom Games #1) by Piper Rayne
Avg rating: 4.11/Release: January 29, 2018

Sports. Enemies-to-lovers. Brother's best friend. With so many tropes, you'd think this romance would be a slam dunk. But after going through some of the reviews, I realize it wasn't. And as much as I've enjoyed these authors and their books, I think I'll pass on this one.

The Schemer (Harbor City #3) by Avery Flynn
Avg rating: 4.01/Release: February 5, 2018

An enemies-to-lovers romance that has definitely intrigued me. I've only read one book from this author before, Brazen, and I enjoyed the heck out of it. Let's see if it was a fluke or if I'll become a fan girl!
Verdict: keep

Inferno: Part 1 (The Vault #1) by T.K. Leigh
Avg rating: 4.37/Release: January 4, 2018
Currently FREE on Amazon

I've got this one sitting on my kindle. It's been a hot minute since I've read anything from this author but I loved her stuff.  Have you read her Beautiful Mess series? If not, you really should. I hope I love this series just as much!
Verdict: keep

Buried in Lies by T.L. Smith
Avg rating: 4.12/Release: January 23, 2018

Another author I haven't read in a while. I remember being a part of the release, sharing posts on FB, but I didn't have space in my schedule to actually read the book. But that cover and that blurb shouldn't be missed. I hope I love this 🤞
