Down the TBR Hole was originally created by Lost in a Story! The point of it is to help cull your reading lists down, or maybe push higher anticipated releases up on your TBR! And maybe you all can help me along the way, and tell me if you’ve loved or hated any of these!

How it works:
➽ Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
➽ Order on ascending date added.
➽ Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books - I do about 15-20 because my list is HUGE
➽ Read the synopses of the books
➽ Decide: keep it or should it go?

Red Havoc Rogue (Red Havoc Panthers #1) by T.S. Joyce
Avg rating: 4.27/Release: February 7, 2017

I haven't read from this author before, but I've been meaning to. Her books keep popping up as recommendations and in my GR newsfeed. I'll take it as a sign and read.
Verdict: keep

Thirty Day Boyfriend by Whitney G.
Avg rating: 3.95/Release: November 2, 2017

Have you read the Reasonable Doubt series? I fell in love with this author right there. I loved that series so much! And then there's her Mid Life Love series. I haven't had a bad experience yet.
Verdict: keep

The British Knight (The Royals Collection #4) by Louise Bay
Avg rating: 4.07/Release: December 3, 2017

I've actually read this series of books out of order. I loved books 2 and 3, but I should really start from the beginning. I'll let you know how it goes ;)
Verdict: keep

Up for Heir (Westerly Billionaire #2) by Ruth Cardello
Avg rating: 4.27/Release: November 14, 2017

I've never read from this author before and I added this book as part of a giveaway. The blurb isn't really grabbing me so I think I'll pass.
Verdict: delete

Scarred (Damaged Duet #2) by Willow Winters
Avg rating: 4.23/Release: May 23, 2018

I read the first two books of the Secrets and Sin Series and while I didn't love them (hated the heroine), I did like them well enough. However, I've got the book proceeding this particular duet already sitting on my tbr, so there's no need for this one.
Verdict: delete

Adrenaline Secrets (Deadly DNA #1) by Carolyn Reilly
Avg rating: 4.46/Release: June 2018

I love stories about taking down the evil corporation. I'm still very intrigued by this book's blurb and I'm excited to get a chance to read it.
Verdict: keep

Bound for Life (Bound to the Bad Boy/Killer Trilogy #1) by Alexis Abbott
Avg rating: 4.24/Release: August 1, 2017

This author has been recommended to me repeatedly. I guess people know how much I love a good killer/mafia romance. I'm looking forward to finding out if I love her as much as predicted. Besides, this book is already sitting on my kindle.
Verdict: keep

The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle #1) by Maggie Stiefvater
Avg rating: 4.06/Release: September 18, 2012

I've been wanting to dive into this book for years. YEARS! I've even got a copy sitting on my bookshelf just waiting for me to crack it open. Oh when will I find the time.
Verdict: keep

Free Ride (Shadow Keepers #1) by M.N. Forgy
Avg rating: 4.12/Release: November 8, 2017

I love stories that deal with mental illness, when they're done well. However, some reviewers that I trust have made me believe that this is not the read for me. And yet this book is already on my kindle so I guess I'll be getting to it one day. Hopefully it isn't as bad as I think.
Verdict: keep

Bad (Bad. Dirty. Power. #1) by LP Lovell & Stevie J. Cole
Avg rating: 4.06/Release: November 7, 2017

I've read quite a few books by these authors. Some they hit out of the park... and some are a big miss. This book is still haunting me and while it sits on my kindle, I want to read it BADly. I hope it's a winner!
Verdict: keep

Bad at Love by Karina Halle
Avg rating: 3.97/Release: November 14, 2017

It's a friends-to-lovers romance that sounds like it could be good... or bad. I'm hoping it's good and with Karina Halle, I'm usually guaranteed a winner. It does say that it has tons of profanity and graphic sex. Yes please!
Verdict: keep
Hunted by Meagan Spooner
Avg rating: 3.92/Release: March 14, 2017

Another book already on my bookshelf. Blame my Book Outlet addiction. One of my favorite YA reviewers, Meltotheny, recommended this one to me because I LOVE retellings. Fingers crossed that I love this one. It's Beauty and the Beast y'all!
Verdict: keep
The Body Painter by Pepper Winters
Avg rating: 4.40/Release: ???

I didn't pay attention to the author's posts to see if she was still planning to publish this. It has a really unique concept and I'm eager to read anything that PW writes. I've been a huge fan of hers ever since I read her Indebted series, so really she could write a grocery list and I'd read it. If you know if/when this is being published, please let me know.
Verdict: delete

A Pound of Flesh (A Pound of Flesh #1) by Sophie Jackson
Avg rating: 3.97/Release: June 9, 2015

An author I've never read... a book that costs almost $10... what do you think? I don't even remember how this book ended up on my tbr. Maybe I was looking for a prison romance and someone recommended it to me?
Verdict: delete

Sex, Not Love by Vi Keeland
Avg rating: 4.24/Release: January 13, 2018

It's been a long while since I've read anything from this author, but the blurb of this book has really caught my attention. They meet at a wedding, have insane chemistry, act on it and she leaves him with a fake #. A year later they meet again, chemistry's the same and they hit the sack. She leaves him with her mom's #. Then he shows up at her mom's house LOL. That part kills me. So yeah, I look forward to seeing these two attempt to screw each other out of their systems and failing.
Verdict: keep
