Down the TBR Hole was originally created by Lost in a Story! The point of it is to help cull your reading lists down, or maybe push higher anticipated releases up on your TBR! And maybe you all can help me along the way, and tell me if you’ve loved or hated any of these!

How it works:
➽ Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
➽ Order on ascending date added.
➽ Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books - I do about 15-20 because my list is HUGE
➽ Read the synopses of the books
➽ Decide: keep it or should it go?

On My Knees (Bridge #1) by Meredith Wild
Avg rating: 4.10/Release: April 18, 2017

Although I love second chance romances, I'm just not feeling this one. I don't like that the heroine is married. Maybe I'll read it at some point. Maybe.
Verdict: delete
Counting on You (Love Addicts Anonymous #1) by J.C. Reed
Avg rating: 3.98/Release: June 5, 2017

I remember adding this because I've enjoyed this author's work in the past. But after re-reading the blurb, I'm just not feeling it. Maybe later.
Verdict: delete
King of Code by CD Reiss
Avg rating: 3.68/Release: September 21, 2017

In the past, I didn't have the best of luck with this author's books. Lately, I've found her work to be phenomenal. Have you read her EDGE series??? Love it!! I've already got this one sitting on my kindle, so I hope I love it too.
Verdict: keep
Hot Georgia Rein by Martha Sweeney
Avg rating: 4.23/Release: September 12, 2017

I've been wanting to read a book from this author. I've promoted her work and think it's about time I try it.
Verdict: keep
Persephone by Kitty Thomas
Avg rating: 3.35/Release: June 26, 2017

I absolutely love retellings. I can't get enough of them and I'm always looking for recommendations. This one came up and I thought 'why not?', but some of my peeps told me that I'd really hate the heroine. I'd rather skip this than leave a scathing review. Maybe later.
Verdict: delete
Acquisition (Takeover Duet #1) by Chelle Bliss
Avg rating: 4.23/Release: October 24, 2017

I eat the enemies-to-lovers trope up like cake. I haven't read much from this author, but I'm still looking forward to this.
Verdict: keep
Hard Wood (Big Rock #6) by Lauren Blakely
Avg rating: 4.02/Release: October 23, 2017

It's Lauren Blakely. Do I really need to say anything else? She's notorious for a feel good romance with swoons and laughs. And I've enjoyed the books from this series.
Verdict: keep
Bait by Jade West
Avg rating: 4.17/Release: August 14, 2017

I planned to read this, making it the first book I'd read from this author. But then I ended up reading something else from her and I didn't like it. So I'm more than a little hesitant to try this. Especially because a trusted reviewer didn't like it. I'm willing to give her a chance though. Maybe later.
Verdict: delete
Red Rising (Red Rising Saga #1) by Pierce Brown
Avg rating: 4.27/Release: January 28, 2014

I've seen so many conflicting reviews for this book. It's an amalgamation of The Hunger Games, Divergent, and every other dystopian book out there I guess. I'm sure I'll read it one day. Maybe.
Verdict: delete
Buttons & Lace (Buttons #1) by Penelope Sky
Avg rating: 4.25/Release: November 15, 2016

This one keeps coming up as an Amazon recommendation. I figure it's because I've one-clicked so many dark romance books. It's been a while since I've read a really good captive story and I hope I love this one.
Verdict: keep
Hard Time by Kristen Luciani
Avg rating: 4.24/Release: September 4, 2017

It's a story about revenge and although I've never heard anything about this author, I still wanna try it. It's a romantic suspense, which is a bonus.
Verdict: keep
7 Dirty Lies (Tease) by Alexis Anne
Avg rating: 4.20/Release: August 17, 2017

Another second chance romance to float my boat. This author's books are pretty hit-or-miss for me, but I have enjoyed books from this series.
Verdict: keep
Fixed Forever (Fixed #6) by Laurelin Paige
Avg rating: 4.33/Release: June 25, 2018

I think I'm going to have to read this series from the beginning again. I read these books so long ago and although I remember the story, a lot of the details aren't clear.
Verdict: keep
My Lord (Rothvale Legacy #2) by Raine Miller
Avg rating: 3.81/Release: ???

I don't think this book has been released and I can't find information to let me know if it will ever be released. That sucks.
Verdict: delete
Ruthless King (Mount Trilogy #1) by Meghan March
Avg rating: 4.20/Release: October 17, 2017

I feel like everyone but me has read or at least started this trilogy. It's been a long while since I've read a book from this author, but I remember loving everything I did read. I can't wait to discover my love for her work again.
Verdict: keep
Hate to Love You by Tijan
Avg rating: 3.93/Release: August 28, 2017

I'll tell you now, I loved this author's Broken & Screwed series. LOVED IT!! But everything of hers I've read since hasn't measured up. And while I love the enemies-to-lovers trope, I'm just not swayed by the blurb of this book or its reviews.
Verdict: delete
After Our Kiss by Nora Flite
Avg rating: 3.75/Release: August 29, 2017

I haven't had the best of luck when it comes to this author. I fail to fall in love with her stories or her characters. I've tried numerous times. Maybe it's me.
Verdict: delete
Ghosted by J.M. Darhower
Avg rating: 4.11/Release: August 23, 2017

This one has all the makings of a winner. Second chance romance, secret baby, hollywood star... Luckily I already bought this on release day.
Verdict: keep
When We Touch by Tia Louise
Avg rating: 3.98/Release: September 5, 2017

Another second chance romance sitting on my kindle. I love this author!
Verdict: keep
Two is a Lie (Tangled Lies #2) by Pam Godwin
Avg rating: 4.17/Release: July 11, 2017

Love the author, hate the trope. I try to stay away from love triangles if I can help it. To read three books of it, just to find out if the guy I'm rooting for is the one who gets the girl, is too much for my sweet little heart to take.
