Down the TBR Hole was originally created by Lost in a Story! The point of it is to help cull your reading lists down, or maybe push higher anticipated releases up on your TBR! And maybe you all can help me along the way, and tell me if you’ve loved or hated any of these!

How it works:
➽ Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
➽ Order on ascending date added.
➽ Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books - I do about 15-20 because my list is HUGE
➽ Read the synopses of the books
➽ Decide: keep it or should it go?

Legal Ease (Sutton Capital #1) by Lori Ryan
Avg rating: 3.85/Release: April 18, 2013

I haven't read much from this author and this one came as a recommendation from a top GR reviewer and a good book friend. It's a fake marriage/marriage of convenience plot and I love those. I hope I love this one!
Verdict: Keep
The Warlord Wants Forever (Immortals After Dark #1) by Kresley Cole
Avg rating: 4.08/Release: November 22, 2011

New-to-me author! I've never read anything from this author before! 🙈 I know, I'm terrible. I have so many of her books on my bookshelves, but cracking one open is a problem. I've wanted to read her books for so long and I've promised myself I'm going to for sure in the new year.
Verdict: Keep
Chandler (Fixed #5) by Laurelin Paige
Avg rating: 3.98/Release: September 20, 2016

The Fixed series was the first thing I ever read from this author and I loved it. At the time. However, I've forgotten most of the details and I'm wondering if I'd still love it if I reread it. I'm told that this is truly a standalone but a better read if you've tackled the series before. I'm hoping it really is.
Verdict: Keep
Marriage Games (The Games Duet #1) by CD Reiss
Avg rating: 4.11/Release: October 22, 2016

I think I'm the last one standing who hasn't read this book. I've become a recent fan of this author (I won't bother reading anymore of her older stuff because I didn't really like it), but unfortunately I'm no longer a fan of BDSM. So this duet gets a pass.
Verdict: Delete
Kiss of Midnight (Midnight Breed #1) by Lara Adrian
Avg rating: 3.93/Release: May 1, 2007

I've only read a couple of books from this author and while I enjoyed them, I'm not running out to make sure I have her latest release. Especially not the old stuff that probably wouldn't keep my attention. Who knows, I might end up loving it despite my skepticism.
Verdict: Keep
Wake to Dream by Lily White
Avg rating: 4.24/Release: October 12, 2016

One of the things I love most about this author's books is how unpredictable her stories are. Will there be a happy ending? Just how insane will the plot twists get? And who the heck am I supposed to root for?
Verdict: Keep
Deadly Silence (Blood Brothers #1) by Rebecca Zanetti
Avg rating: 4.03/Release: October 4, 2016

No one writes romantic suspense quite like Zanetti. Thrilling, on the edge of your seat excitement. And the romance is threaded through in a way that makes it realistic.
Verdict: Keep
Royal Scandal (Royals in Exile #1) by Marquita Valentine
Avg rating: 3.67/Release: January 24, 2017

New-to-me author! Another one of those fake marriage/marriage of convenience type stories. I'm hoping it's as good as the blurb suggests!
Verdict: Keep
On a Tuesday (One Week #1) by Whitney G.
Avg rating: 4.02/Release: September 19, 2017

I've been this woman's fan ever since I read Reasonable Doubt. That series was amazing. So I won't be passing up any of her books, thank you very much!
Verdict: Keep
The Chronicles of Young Dmitry Medlov (The Chronicles of Young Dmitry Medlov #1) by Latrivia S. Nelson
Avg rating: 4.49/Release: November 16, 2010

New-to-me author! I saw that it's about a young man who is a killer and soldier for the Bratva and that's all I need to know.
Verdict: Keep
The Cadaver Factory by Kenneth Jarrett Singleton
Avg rating: 4.40/Release: November 28, 2004

Seriously, I don't even know how this book ended up on my TBR.
Verdict: Delete
American Queen (New Camelot Trilogy #1) by Sierra Simone
Avg rating: 4.16/Release: October 25, 2016

I really enjoy this author's writing. Have you read Priest or Sinner? DAYUM!! But I added this during the hype of its release. However, I don't enjoy menage stories and so this one has to go 😞
Verdict: Delete
Decidedly Off Limits (By The Bay #1) by Stina Lindenblatt
Avg rating: 3.99/Release: November 7, 2016
FREE right now!

New-to-me author! Since it's free, I purchased it. It's a brother's best friend romance and I'm hoping it's as hot as that cover.
Verdict: Keep
Tommy Boy (The Panty Whisperer #0.5) by Sloane Howell
Avg rating: 4.60/Release: November 3, 2016

I actually already read this and own a signed copy. I'm not sure why it hasn't registered on GR.
Verdict: find out where my review is
Date Me (Sex Me #1) by Logan Chance
Avg rating: 3.98/Release: November 13, 2016

It's short and sweet. Can't wait!
Verdict: Keep
Definitely Yes (Definitely #1) by Ella Miles
Avg rating: 4.25/Release: October 2016

A spin-off of the Maybe series, which I did like. But this one isn't really working to pull me in.
Verdict: Delete
After We Fall (After We Fall #2) by Melanie Harlow
Avg rating: 4.26/Release: November 28, 2016

I haven't met a book by this author that I didn't like. Not one. Their emotional and sexy and guaranteed 4 and 5 star worthy reads.
Verdict: Keep
F*cking Awkward Holidays Anthology
Avg rating: 4.28/Release: October 31, 2016

I can't find a link to purchase this anywhere. If you can find it, please let me know.
Verdict: Delete (unfortunately)
The Devil's Gate (The Devil's Gate Trilogy #1) by Rue Volley
Avg rating: 3.90/Release: April 12, 2015

New-to-me author! Sounds hot and I'm hoping it's also dark.
Verdict: Keep
Say You Want Me (Return to Me #2) by Corinne Michaels
Avg rating: 4.33/Release: October 31, 2016

New-to-me author! I've heard a lot of great things about this author and I've seen so many great reviews for her work. I realize I need to give her a try and check her stuff out for myself.
Verdict: Keep

And that's it for this week of discovering just what the heck is on my TBR. At least I was able to actually cull my list and lighten the load a bit. Have any of these books made it to your own lists? Have you read any of them? I'd love some feedback!

Until next week... Happy reading! xoxo
