Mr Rebound by Kat T Masen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Standalone
Release: October 30, 2016
Length: 285 pages

Moving across the country was supposed to be a fresh start. I’d made mistakes, but I told myself I’d no longer prey on emotionally unstable women. I don’t do relationships—I’m a selfish bastard that enjoys not answering to anyone—and relationships mean being with only one woman. More often than not, one that carries emotional baggage, like cheating exes or worse—kids.

After landing myself in trouble, again, my cousin Charlie dared me to settle down with one woman. I’m not one to shy away from a dare, so I chose Scarlett Winters, the most wanted actress in Hollywood. The sexiest woman on Earth.

I just needed to get past the roadblock—her assistant, Morgan Bentley.

The wicked bitch of the west.

Between her multiple personalities and the giant stick up her ass, I should’ve seen it coming. I’d been with enough women to read the signs. Morgan Bentley was after one thing, and one thing only. A rebound.

That’s me, right?

Mr Rebound.

But what if this time I wanted more?

My Review

I love books told from the male POV and Kat T. Masen killed it! She made me both love and hate the hero. He was a cocky bastard for the most part, but thankfully he had some rather redeemable qualities.

Noah was a manwhore. Plain and simple. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with that. He was a single guy, out to have fun, and no one got hurt. What set him apart was that all of his conquests happened to be seeking a rebound and he seemed to always be at the right place at the right time. Convenient huh? LOL. One day his "machinations" (and c'mon, his intentions weren't the greatest) went too far and suddenly he's packed up and moved to California. He makes himself a promise that this move will be his fresh start, that he won't continue his past behaviour. Pretty soon, he's getting knocked on his ass by a woman named Morgan, however, due to unforeseen circumstances, she ends up breaking both of their hearts. That's right, Noah found himself falling in love. Imagine that??? Now who does Mr. Rebound go to for a rebound?

The story was a riot. No lie. You will laugh at the many inappropriate moments throughout this book. I know I did. But it's also incredibly endearing and I couldn't avoid falling for Noah's charm and rooting for him to find his "happy ending" (pun intended).
